Well its taken a week to write this, but finally we are pleased to shout from the rooftops, the CHAMPIONS of the SPARTAN PREMIER DIVISION are NEW SALAMIS FC.

The script written at the start of the season, April 23rd Risborough Rangers vs New Salamis Kick off 3.00pm.

Who would have thought this would be the title decider. Risborough sitting top with 93 points and needing a draw, and New Salamis needing a win at the meanest defence in the League, vs the Leagues top goalscorers.

After a goalless first half, a corner to New Salamis put the north London team ahead, JJ Da Cruz with a bullet header, on 60 minutes.

The match was a blur until the 77th minute when Elijah started and finished a move which saw Derek Asamoah miss when clean through but, Elijah was on hand to score the rebound 2-0. Dreamland, wonderland, whatever it was pulses were racing, hearts were pumping and still time on the clock.

Well that time eventually ran out, 8 minutes of injury time, then the final whistle, this wasn't dreamland this was reality. Salamina, CHAMPIONS ! promoted for the 3rd time in 4 seasons, what a dream, what a match, what a season, every player a legend, every player a hero.

The biggest mention though goes to Richard Georgiou and Ryan Hervel, two long serving Legends, who moulded this team, gave them belief and confidence to do what they have done.
