New Salamis made it 10 wins in a row with a comprehensive win at home at the QEII Stadium in Enfield.

Sun Sports the opponents who were sitting bottom of the table, but on today’s performance they will not be there for long. They matched Salamina for the opening exchanges and looked a very decent side.

On the 25th minute mark Salamina went ahead, Deniz Mehmet raced down the right and cut inside squared the ball back to 18 year old Nicholas Kouroushi who side footed home from 10 yards out 1-0.

The reds shoulda have gone further ahead when Ryan Hervel had two shots blocked, but it was Sun Sports who were to score next, from a direct free kick 25 yards out in the 35 minute. 1-1.

Salamina pressed for a second before half time but could not find the breakthrough, half time 1-1.

The second half saw Salamina take control scoring five goals. Mike Anastasiou (pictured) made it 2-1 in the 52nd minute side footing home from a Deniz Mehmet cross. Three minutes later Dean Fenton then scored the goal of the game with a 25 yard thunderbolt for 3-1. Leon Fisher made it 4-1 from close range in the 63rd minute, before Deniz Mehmet made it 5-1 from a header in the six yard box 2 minutes later.

The Sixth goal came from 20 year old Mike Anastasiou and his second of the game in the 72nd minute for 6-1.

Salamina remain unbeaten and top of the Herts Senior County Premier Division.

Next Saturday 24th November we travel to Belstone FC in the League for a 2.00pm kick off
