This was not a vintage performance by the Reds but a welcome 3 points on the road. It was never going to be easy with the gale force winds today, and it was critical that Salamina ground out this result.

The first 20 minutes also were punctuated with the odd foray forward but with the wind howling neither team could gain control. Leon McKenzie has a speculative 25 yard drive which just went wide, and Salamina could not capitalise on the early corners.
However on the 20 minute mark Tyler Campbell put a smile on the Reds faces with a 25 yard sublime strike for 1-0.
However we couldn’t score a second our dominance deserved, and Bedmond were to score their own sublime goal, a mishit clearance and the Bedmond winger hit a thunderous 22 yard strike into the top corner for 1-1.

The second half saw some reshuffling and Bedmond were unlucky not to go 2-1 up when a cross was turned in but the linesman saved Salamina and ruled out for offside. 
Salamina woke up but missed chances or miscued at the wrong moments. The Bedmond keeper making some fine saves.

The turning point could have been when Salamina were reduced to 10 men, but this just pushed us on. Our break coming when Richard Georgiou was felled in the box for an 87th minute penalty. He stepped up and cooly slotted the ball home for 2-1.

Salamina finished victors but Bedmond ran us close.
