Belstone FC 1 - 6 New Salamis FC

The Reds stormed into the Aubrey Cup Final with an emphatic 6-1 away win at Belstone FC. The reds battled back from going 1-0 behind when we were caught out from a quick cross and Belstone's forward headed home. However we were not behind for long.
Kyri Portou intercepte a back pass and calmly slotted the ball past the Belstone keeper for 1-1 on the 28th minute mark. 3 minutes later Kyri put us the reds into the lead with a neat finish inside the Belstone penalty area. Salamina went into half time with a 2-1 lead.
The second half saw us score 3 girls in the first 10 minutes. Christian Artimadis scored the goal of the game, when he lobbed the goalkeeper from the right hand side of the area for 3-1. George Lutaaya then raced clear and made it 4-1 with a cool finish, before Kyri Portou completed his hat-trick for 5-1 in the 55th minute.
Salamina controlled the rest of the game, and played some delightful football, and were to go 6-1 up in the 88th minute from the penalty spot. Chris Xiouri celebrating his birthday with a top corner finish from the spot.
Salamina will now play Oxhey Jets Reserves in the final on Bank Holiday Monday May the 6th 2019. Venue : Colney Heath FC, The Recreation Ground, High Street, Colney Heath, AL4 0NE
